HALABAN WOOD CHARCOAL

Overview

Halaban charcoal is a premium hardwood charcoal produced from carefully selected Halaban wood, known for its high density and superior combustion properties. This type of charcoal is highly valued in international markets due to its long burning duration, consistent heat output, and strong structural integrity. It is particularly suitable for professional grilling environments such as restaurants, steakhouses, and catering businesses that require reliable and high-performance fuel. The natural production process preserves the wood’s inherent qualities, resulting in charcoal that burns hotter and longer compared to standard alternatives, while maintaining low smoke emission.

Key Benefits

  • Long-lasting burn
  • High heat intensity
  • Premium hardwood quality

Production Process

  • Wood Selection & Harvesting
Only mature and dense Halaban wood is selected to ensure high calorific value and structural integrity.
  • Cutting & Sizing
Logs are cut into standardized sizes to allow uniform carbonization and efficient kiln loading.
  • Natural Air Drying
The wood is air-dried for 1–3 weeks to reduce internal moisture, improving carbonization efficiency and minimizing smoke during processing.
  • Stacking in Kiln
The dried wood is carefully arranged inside traditional or brick kilns to allow proper airflow and heat distribution.
  • Carbonization Process
The kiln is gradually heated and maintained for 5–10 days. Oxygen supply is strictly controlled to enable slow pyrolysis without combustion into ash.
  • Temperature Monitoring
Operators continuously monitor temperature and airflow to achieve optimal carbon conversion and prevent defects.
  • Cooling Phase
After carbonization, the kiln is sealed and left to cool for 1–3 days to stabilize the charcoal and prevent oxidation.
  • Unloading & Sorting
The charcoal is removed and sorted based on size, density, and quality grade.
  • Final Inspection & Packing
Products are inspected before being packed for export distribution.
